I've only worn the core skin once, while paddling (appropriately) the South Fork of the American River, near the town of Lotus. I wore the top under a paddling jacket; it is very comfortable (seams are flat, and even turned out at the neck for chafe-free wearing). The fit is VERY snug, but that's functional in this case. The top moves very freely, never bunches, good for athletic paddling. It dries unbelievably fast. One gripe: the top is already showing some wear (after 1 use!), mostly on the neck where it contacted the Velcro from my paddling jacket's neck seal--I'm wondering if the fabric will hold up there with lots of use. Also, the screen printing of the lotus name and logo has already begun to fade a bit (no big deal). Bottom line: a comfortable, functional top for fun in the water. I got a good deal on it here--as is the case with most Patagonia gear, full price is overpriced.
